Why we started with the artwork
Most wedding gift stores are catalogues. They buy the same stock designs everyone else buys, put them on the same blanks, and compete on price and shipping speed. The result is that a couple opens three gifts with the same clip-art eucalyptus on them.
We went the other way. Every design we sell is drawn in house: the laurel wreaths, the eucalyptus garlands, the vow typography, the moon phases, the art-deco monograms. They are set in the same typographic tradition as good wedding stationery, with the letter spacing actually attended to. You will not find them on another store, because they are ours.
How it is made
Nothing here sits in a warehouse. Every order is printed or engraved after you place it, in the United States, and then shipped to you or straight to the couple. That takes 5 to 7 business days before carrier transit, which is slower than a marketplace and is the trade we make for not holding landfill inventory.
The wooden serving boards are laser-engraved rather than surface-printed, so the design is burned into the wood and will not lift, fade or wash away. It costs more to make that way. It is also the difference between a gift that survives a decade of dishwashing and one that does not.
What we do not do
We do not currently offer personalization with names and dates. It is the most common thing we get asked for and it is coming, but we would rather ship a small honest catalogue well than a large one badly. Everything on the site today is original artwork, sold as designed.
